A middle-aged yakuza named Shidara who loves flowers and tap dancing, doesn't quite cut it as a yakuza. What he does well is squat at unoccupied buildings until the desperate owners are forced to pay him to leave. He feels a connection with Yui who is the daughter of his yakuza-brother. When Yui is called "yakuza daughter" by schoolmates, she swears revenge and runs home for a gun. But Shidara is there and tries to stop her. As they struggle, Yui hits her head and passes out. Shidara takes her to the hotel where he's squatting and declares that he is now Yui's father and he will reeducate her. Yui resists but Shidara dyes her hair black and teaches her manners and household chores. Yui starts to open up to Shidara and he confesses that he wants her to be his daughter. A physical relationship develops out of their mutual loneliness. As their love deepens, a war between Shidara's yakuza gang and their enemies gets out of control. Shidara sees it as an opportunity to regain his dignity as yakuza but…
