Taiwan director Lien Yi Chi (Sweet Alibis) transplants the acclaimed Korean crime drama A Hard Day to Kualu Lumpur in the equally thrilling Chinese remake Peace Breaker starring Aaron Kwok and Wang Qianyuan (Saving Mr. Wu). Crooked cop Gao (Aaron Kwok) just lost his mother and he is under internal investigation at work. While rushing to his mother's funeral, he accidentally runs over a man on an empty road. In a moment of desperation, Gao hides the body in his trunk, and then his own mother's coffin. A few days later, he is shocked to come across the victim's profile in an ongoing case that may eventually lead back to him and his cover-up. Before Gao can figure out what's going on, another mysterious cop (Wang Qianyuan) suddenly appears to blackmail him – and demand the return of the body.
