Jackie Chan is Asian Hawk, an Indiana Jones-style grave robber who's called into service to discover the secret behind the "Armour of God," a suit of mystical armor reputedly worn by an ancient deity. Asian Hawk takes the job, but must also contend with a former friend (popular singer Alan Tam) who hitches a ride to find his wayward girlfriend Rosamund Kwan - who just so happens to be the ex-girlfriend of Asian Hawk. Armour of God features stunning international locations and some imaginative action set pieces that could only have come from the mind of Jackie Chan. Some of the standout action sequences include an extended fight with four monstrous women, an acrobatic tussle in monastery, and a notoriously dangerous stunt that landed Jackie Chan in the hospital. You can actually see that failed stunt DURING the ending outtakes, which serves as a compelling reminder of Chan's humanity, and unswerving proof of his daredevil genius and unmatched commitment to his art. Armour of God is undoubtedly one of Jackie Chan's signature cinema vehicles.
