The first thing one notices about Yau is his strong hatred for mahjong. He had good reasons: his mahjong-playing mother refused to leave the gambling table to visit his father, who had been robbed. The father died as the result, of course. Yau goes to the beach with two friends to see if romance should drop on him. It does, and like a ton of bricks he sees and falls for the beautiful Fong. It so happens Fong is a devoted mahjong player. But she has a sister who hates mahjong. So Fong sends her sister to a psychoanalyst. The private eye hired by Yau to find Fong bumps into the sister's medical record. Convinced Fong also detests mahjong, Yau goes all out...
