The sequel to the immensely popular "Young and Dangerous" brings back the entire cast for more triad angst and action. This time, the film centers on Chicken (Jordan Chan), who finds his loyalties divided between his Hung Hing brothers and the San Luen Group, the Taiwanese triad that took him in during the first film. The leaders of the San Luen group, including Chicken's ex-girlfriend (Chingmy Yau), attempt to muscle in on the Hung Hing group, causing friction between Chicken and his pals in Hung Hing. Meanwhile, seedy Hung Hing member Tai Fei (Anthony Wong) hatches a plan to gain revenge on Ho-Nam for the killing of a friend, and Ho-Nam finds himself framed for the murder of a high-ranking triad official. Considered by many to be an improvement on the original, "Young and Dangerous 2" was an even bigger hit than the first film, and features a stronger storyline, and a more mature exploration of the Hong Kong triad lifestyle.
