Mr. Boo is seemingly doomed to spend the rest of his days as a cook in a teppanyaki restaurant, married to the corpulent and overbearing daughter of the gun-happy owner. Mr. Boo's unhappy menage is completed by a decrepit grandfather and an unsavory assortment of self-seeking relatives. His only escape is his private fantasy world. But his propensity for disaster finds fulfillment; escape and reality become inextricably entwined, and what was supposed to be an idyllic holiday in the Philippines with his girlfriend becomes a nightmare family outing.
