After her fiancé dies in a traffic accident, Siu Wai (Cecilia Cheung) takes custody of his son and assumes his job as a bus driver. She believes she can succeed as a single mother, but life is much more difficult than she had expected. While her relatives discourage her and erode her confidence, Dai Fai (Lau Ching Wan), one of her fiancé's former colleagues, helps her learn the business. As they work together, they try to ignore the romance that is obviously blooming between them.
